Hiking Trail

Widest view possible from above Kanab. Transiting Jurassic layers
of southern Utah.

Directions to Trailhead
Starting at the center of town, at the stoplight at Center and Main Street, go East on Hwy 89 then continue south
on 89A (toward Fredonia).  Turn right on
 Kanab Creek Drive. Go about 2 miles through Ranchos Subdivision, then 
turn right (west) on Stanfield Dr. The trailhead is
on right at the bottom of the hill.
(Distance to trailhead: 3.5 miles)

Description of Trail
Get a view of Kanab, Kanab Creek, the Vermilion
Cliffs, and sights well into Arizona.  The trail
is easy for the first half mile, and then becomes more challenging as the trail steepens, with a rise of over 800ft. Near the top of the trail there is a small panel of Petroglyphs.
Once on top you can see forever.
